On Friday, August 15, 2014 at 12:00 noon EST, Elyse Eriksson will be speaking about the nuts and bolts of exporting. Elyse's talk will cover:

A lifelong entrepreneur, Elyse Eriksson has explored a wide range of businesss ventures. As the Managing Director of Export Connector, Ms. Eriksson brings together business experts to work with entrepreneurs to enter international markets.

During the majority of her career, Ms. Eriksson was the owner of two manufacturing companies specializing in concrete based products, Classic Cast Stone of Dallas and Slate Select, Inc. She served as the Director of Training at the International Trade Center-Small Business Development Center in Dallas, Texas and has obtained the designation of C.G.B.P., Certified Global Business Professional.

Ms. Eriksson is the creator and author of The Riddle of the Exporter™ training and workbook. The Riddle of the Exporter™ has been presented throughout the U.S. and in Guam. The seminar is considered one of the best workshops on exporting because of its interactive format and entrepreneurial approach.

In September 2013, The Riddle of the Exporter™ was the opening day international training for the ASBDC (America's Small Business Development Centers) Annual Conference. The program was sponsored by the TPCC (Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee), the SBA OIT (Office of International Trade) and the ASBDC International Committee. It was the only non-government seminar invited to be part of this program. The Riddle of the Exporter™ Letters of Credit video has been translated into Arabic by USAID, where it is currently used to train Iraqi bankers.

Elyse has served on the board of Scandinavian American Economic Development Alliance and OWIT-DFW. In 2011, she was selected as one of the 250 finalists in the British Airways Face Of Opportunity contest and traveled to events in New York, London and Prague, courtesy of British Airways.

Ms. Eriksson attended the University of Texas, Austin, receiving a B.S. in design. She then received a Masters in Civic Affairs and an M.B.A. in International Management from the University of Dallas, Irving, Texas.
